Last Will and Testament of Rudolph Conrad Plott, son of Elias Plott and Charity Conrad-Plott. Rudolph records, "... at the graves of my Father, Mother and My two daughters graves who are buried at Troutmans." Rudolph documents that, his parents, Elias Plott and Charity Conrad-Plott are buried in Troutman Cemetery.
Elias settled his family in “in Iredell” County, N.C., as noted on the List of Children in the estate files for his parents, George and Margaret Plott.
Additional information about Elias Plott’s assistance to his parents.
First, Elias and his brother, John, were the executors of his father’s, George Plott, Last Will and Testament and the estate of his mother, Margaret.
Second, after his father died and some time after the 1820 census, his mother, Margaret, moved from Lincoln County to Iredell County to lived with Elias Plott until her death. In Margaret’s estate settlement papers, Elias was paid $75.00 for keeping her.
Third, by review Elias was the primary Executor for George and Margaret’s estate; ergo, Elias Plott’s original signature is found on several documents.

Let's review Elias signature - Elias "Blott"
At this time, five signatures have been found, which Elias wrote his surname using an old German script "P" looking as a "B". His P/B began with a strike of the pen down, then his pen curves to the right making a circle to look like a lower case "b", then his pen continues like a reversely written "C" upwards to circling over the top and round back toward the line to make the script look like a "B".
Elias signed his 1801 marriage bond to Charity Conrad using the old German script.
Elias signed his 1801 marriage bond to Charity Conrad using the old German script.
While reviewing the estate file of George Plott, Jim Campbell observed that Elias used the German script writing lessons that his parents taught him. Not one, not two, not three, but four "4" different times Elias Plott signed his name Elias "Blott". This is considered a 'big find' that one of the sons of George Plott, in North Carolina, used the old German script of "Blott" instead of "Plott" in their signature.

2. October 5, 1833
3. April 30, 1834
4. November 11, 1834
Elias was pointing us in the direction of our Plott family heritage. He and Charity named their sons after grandfathers and he signed his Plott name in German script. [Rudolph Conrad Plott (after Charity's father - Rudolph Conrad), Elias Wagner Plott (suppose to be after Elias' mother Margaret's father - Elias Wagner) and Philip A. Plott (after Elias' father George's mother - Philippina)].

Elias Wagner Plott is buried in Sipe Springs Cemetery, Texas.
Remember, the "W." is the son of Elias Plott and the "H." is the son candidate of Isaac Plott. The "W." for Elias "Wagner" Plott. Elias H. Plott and Elias W. Plott were first cousins.
One of their children, Elias “Wagner” Plott, told his family that he was named after 'a' grandmother leading to believe that Margaret, wife of George Plott, was Margaret Wagner.
1st Wife Teressa Annie Leonard - Teressa Annie’s maiden name was more than likely “Leonard”, which she was more than likely a sister of Martin Leonard, husband of Elias Wagner Plott’s sister, Margaret. Grace Plott and James Iverson Plott’s Family Book has Teressa’s maiden name as Crawford; however, I believe that there was a confusion reading the marriage record of the bondsman named H. P. Crawford on Elias Wagner Plott and his second wife, Mary A. Jacobs.
Children:
-1-Martin W. F. Plott (c. 1841 - c. 1864 In the Civil War, killed near Henrietta, Texas and buried just across the Red River in Oklahoma under a huge Live Oak Tree,)
-2-Mary Charity Robenia Plott (Married Sam Percifield, who was on the wagon train. C. 1842 - c. 1890. Died in Idaho.)
-3- Margaret E. C. Plott (died young enroute on wagon train, pneumonia, c. 1845 -c. 1860, buried in North/South Carolina),
-4-Lucinda Ann Catherine Plott (c. 1847 - 1892 Married Ephraim A. Darr (October 22, 1835 - June 18, 1912, who was on the wagon train. See Darr Wagon Train. Both buried in Darr Cemetery, AR.),
-5-Jane Josephine T. Plott (c. 1845 - before 1870 census. She was captured by Indians and held for a time. Died as a early 20’s year old. Buried at Galle Rock, AR. Never married. She was buried next to her half brother, Johnny. The town and cemetery were very near the River and a flood came and took town and cemetery down the river.)
-6- Sarah Adelia “Delia” Clementine (Married 1st Pratt Scarlet. They moved to Sipe Springs, TX. Pratt was the first person buried in the Sipe Springs Cemetery. He was born in North Carolina. Sarah and Pratt had two boys: Wid and Walter-died young. Married 2nd John White. She became pregnant then contracted measles and died.)
